Yet another birthday cake, this time featuring a meerkat.
Like the C'thulhu cake, the base icing is a coloured vanilla butter icing. The meerkat itself is made of fondant and coloured with cocoa for the dark patches. Its feet are two smarties
This was a little more experimental than the other cakes were, as this was my first time using cocoa as a colouring material. I'm fairly happy with the results, but I think I should use some type of brush next time I try it, just to get it more even.
My friend was pretty happy with it though, as she adores meerkats
